David Barkley is the head instructor and co-founder of Rise Martial Arts in Pflugerville, TX. With over 26 years of experience in martial arts and more than two decades of teaching, he leads a family-developed karate program focused on building confident, disciplined, and well-rounded students.

David’s approach blends traditional karate principles with key elements of taekwondo, helping students of all ages grow in both skill and character. As a third-generation martial artist, he is committed to delivering high-quality instruction in a supportive, family-centered environment.
