About
Founded in 1954 by Sensei Mitsuho “Mits” Kimura (9th degree), the San Francisco Judo Institute has a long history dedicated to the teaching of Kodokan Judo to students of all ages (children and adults) and technical levels (beginner and advanced). In addition, we've partnered with Parkside Jiu Jitsu to offer classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for kids and adults. We believe that this extended offering gives our members an opportunity to develop new skills that are in line with the values of judo.
